Other Work Samples for:

Eden has demonstrated an adequate level of competence in reading aloud. Appropriate phrasing, intonation, expression and emphasis have been used. Eden has demonstrated the ability to self-correct when an error is detected but visual information could have been more effectively used to attempt unknown words. There was less evidence of reading for meaning in the factual text but a sound understanding of the texts was demonstrated overall. Although Eden correctly answered the more literal questions, prompting was required for some inferential questions. To progress further, Eden could use a wider variety of strategies to decode unfamiliar words. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade C standard midway through Stage 1.
