Other Work Samples for:

Eden has demonstrated sound knowledge and understanding of the structure and features of a recount. The structure is correct but a personal comment has not been used to conclude the text. Simple sentences have been used and there is some good descriptive language. Time connectives have been used to sequence the events. There is some evidence of self-editing. The punctuation is correct, apart from the use of proper nouns, and most common words have been correctly spelt. To progress further, Eden could include a personal comment, use consistent tense throughout the text and develop the use of capitals for proper nouns. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade C standard midway through Stage 1.

Grade C

The student has a sound knowledge and understanding of the main areas of content and has achieved an adequate level of competence in the processes and skills.
