Other Work Samples for:

Taylor has demonstrated a thorough understanding of the features of a factual description. The text is appropriately structured but there is no evidence of an introduction or classification. Simple sentences with effective descriptive language have been used but the sentence beginnings are repetitive. A variety of similes and adjectives has been used to add detail but the word 'cute' has been overused. A variety of strategies has been used to spell words and the punctuation is mostly correct. To progress further, Taylor could develop more complex noun groups, use connectives to produce compound sentences, and work on the consistency of handwriting size. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade B standard midway through Stage 1.

Grade B

The student has a thorough knowledge and understanding of the content and a high level of competence in the processes and skills. In addition, the student is able to apply this knowledge and these skills to most situations.
