Other Work Samples for:

Ariel has demonstrated extensive knowledge and understanding of surds. Both numerical and algebraic methods have been used. Inequality signs have been used correctly, showing an impressive understanding of 0 or null case. Proving with variables indicates a higher level of understanding. The numerical examples have been well chosen because the expressions can be evaluated without a calculator. Where division by zero might occur in Question 4 and Question 5, Ariel has recognised that the denominator may or may not be zero by stating b > 0. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade A10 standard at the end of Stage 5.

Grade A

The student has an extensive knowledge and understanding of the content and can readily apply this knowledge. In addition, the student has achieved a very high level of competence in the processes and skills and can apply these skills to new situations.
