Bobby has demonstrated a sound understanding of the culture of Japanese-speaking communities and an adequate level of competence in communicating ideas in Japanese. Appropriate vocabulary has been used and there is some detailed information but few linguistic structures have been incorporated. There is correct use of kanji and katakana but a heavy reliance on single words, English phrases and simple sentences is evident. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade C standard.

The student has a sound knowledge and understanding of the main areas of content and has achieved an adequate level of competence in the processes and skills.
