The design is simple and includes the addition of a found object with an environmental feel. The dimensions of the lower part of the frame have been carefully considered and a conscious choice has been made in the routing of the edges, but the proportions of the timber do not effectively support the overall design. Appropriate tools and materials have been selected, and an adequate level of competence is evident in the joint and finish of the item. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade C standard.
