Reading and Responding - Email Birthday Response - Jordan : Grade Commentary
Jordan has demonstrated a very high level of competence in reading and responding in Chinese. Ideas have been coherently and logically expressed, demonstrating a good command of linguistic structures and vocabulary. Jordan has selected and analysed the information in the written text and distinguished the main points and supporting detail, demonstrating the ability to eliminate inappropriate options. Some linguistic structures reflect the influence of Jordan's first language and there is some unnecessary repetition. A little more care needs to be taken with the execution of characters. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade A standard.

The student has an extensive knowledge and understanding of the content and can readily apply this knowledge. In addition, the student has achieved a very high level of competence in the processes and skills and can apply these skills to new situations.
