Darcy has demonstrated a thorough knowledge and understanding of the unique characteristics of Australia. A high level of competence has been demonstrated in the identification, selection and organisation of geographical information but the comparison with other countries could be stronger. Darcy has analysed the changes in demographics over time and applied additional geographic knowledge but has misinterpreted distribution as density and has not completed all sections relating to age structure. The presentation of the data in tabulated form is thorough and specific. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade B standard.

Grade B

The student has a thorough knowledge and understanding of the content and a high level of competence in the processes and skills. In addition, the student is able to apply this knowledge and these skills to most situations.
