Ainsley has demonstrated a sound knowledge and understanding of the design process. An ordered sequence has been followed and the design solutions display some creativity. Factors influencing the design of the carrying device have been identified but not discussed in detail. There is evidence of research, but little experimentation with tools, properties and techniques. The idea development is adequate but the sketches could be more effective. An evaluation has been undertaken but direct reference to the predetermined criteria has not been made. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade C standard.

Grade C

The student has a sound knowledge and understanding of the main areas of content and has achieved an adequate level of competence in the processes and skills.
