Casey has demonstrated a high level of competence in designing, sketching, rendering and labelling a creative, educational toy. Thorough knowledge and understanding of the processes involved is evident in the choice of interactive components and a variety of material, textures and shapes to appeal to a child’s senses and fine motor skill development. There is a clear explanation of the function of the toy but further investigation of design factors and the safety aspects of parts would be beneficial. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade B standard.
