Lesley has shown extensive knowledge and understanding of the characteristics and properties of timber, logging and the environmental impact. Independent research has been undertaken and information has been extracted from a wide variety of resources beyond those on the suggested list. Lesley has explained in detail the relationships between ethical, social and environmental factors relevant to logging, manufacturing and the disposing of timber products. The introduction and conclusion demonstrate the ability to synthesize and apply information. Lesley has used complex and appropriate language specific to the given project. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade A standard.

Grade A

The student has an extensive knowledge and understanding of the content and can readily apply this knowledge. In addition, the student has achieved a very high level of competence in the processes and skills and can apply these skills to new situations.
