Bobby has demonstrated a thorough knowledge of experimental design and has safely planned a first-hand investigation with a small sample size. A suitable length of time has been selected and the procedure has included logical steps. Bobby could have used scientific terminology to communicate more clearly the precise requirements to achieve ‘identical environments’. The use of a ruler as a measurement tool is implied, and some safety considerations have been mentioned. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade B standard.
