Other Work Samples for:

Casey has demonstrated a sound understanding of the 12-bar blues. The blues scale has been used but the composition lacks a sense of phrasing and the musical ideas have not been developed. The blues chord progression has been effectively used but the rhythmic material is repetitive. No introduction or coda has been used. Tone colour choices are consistent and appropriate to the style, but the inclusion of call and response would provide greater variation. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade C standard.

Grade C

The student has a sound knowledge and understanding of the main areas of content and has achieved an adequate level of competence in the processes and skills.
