Kerry has demonstrated an extensive knowledge and understanding of dynamics, structure, tone colour, texture, pitch and duration. Specific musical ideas within the concepts have been identified and comments have been made on their role and effects. There is evidence of concept interaction and the capacity to analyse and integrate concept changes over time. Graphic and conventional notation and musical terminology have been employed. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade A standard.

Grade A

The student has an extensive knowledge and understanding of the content and can readily apply this knowledge. In addition, the student has achieved a very high level of competence in the processes and skills and can apply these skills to new situations.
