Other Work Samples for:

Dale has demonstrated an extensive understanding of the 12-bar blues. The blues scale and 12-bar blues progression have been successfully used although the use of the scale could be more fully developed. An appropriate structure has been used but the coda is a little abrupt. Contrasting rhythmic patterns for each sound source have been effectively used, and the riffs and bass line reflect a stylistic understanding, but the alignment of melodic material is not always appropriate to the blues structure. Textual interest has been created and tone colours have been well chosen. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade A standard.

Grade A

The student has an extensive knowledge and understanding of the content and can readily apply this knowledge. In addition, the student has achieved a very high level of competence in the processes and skills and can apply these skills to new situations.
