Shannon has demonstrated sound knowledge and understanding of geometric patterns. An accurate diagram has been constructed and the table has been completed using the recognised pattern. The number of centicubes required for twenty tunnels has been calculated but there is no written explanation. Shannon has demonstrated a sound understanding of the concept of algebraic rules but the two suggestions are both incorrect and have not been tested. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade C standard at the end of Stage 4.

The student has a sound knowledge and understanding of the main areas of content and has achieved an adequate level of competence in the processes and skills.
