Riley has demonstrated thorough knowledge and understanding of statistical terms and a high level of competence in reading a stem-and-leaf plot. Most of the statistical measures have been correctly calculated and the explanation of the processes involved in obtaining these figures shows a high level of competence. Comparisons between the two sets of data have been made but these deal primarily with the mean. The statement about outliers lacks clarity but Riley has identified the effect of outliers on the mean and range. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade B standard at the end of Stage 4.
