Frances has demonstrated a sound understanding of Japanese sentence structure with some errors. Katakana script has not been used but hiragana is used mostly accurately with some resorting to English at times. The questions are logically sequenced but do not provide many choices. There is minimal understanding of the culture of Japanese-speaking communities as few Japanese food choices have been included. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade C standard.

Grade C

The student has a sound knowledge and understanding of the main areas of content and has achieved an adequate level of competence in the processes and skills.
