Bailey has demonstrated a high level of competence in using and applying a variety of geographical tools but has not analysed the data. The survey results have been converted to a percentage, and the graphs have made effective use of title, key, colour and scale. A range of technical changes and different perspectives have been identified in the graphs but these have not been explained. The written response lacks detail and does not satisfactorily address the question. The pie graphs and frequency histograms have been well constructed but poorly used. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade C standard.

Grade C

The student has a sound knowledge and understanding of the main areas of content and has achieved an adequate level of competence in the processes and skills.
