Life writing - Ariel : Grade Commentary
Ariel has demonstrated a limited level of competence in composing and evaluating a personal reflection. There is some personal engagement with the student’s own text but the sense of purpose is limited as the response is brief and not sustained. A basic understanding of language features and structure has been demonstrated and an attempt has been made to justify the purpose of the text. An awareness of audience is evident. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade D standard midway through Stage 4.
Grade D
The student has a basic knowledge and understanding of the content and has achieved a limited level of competence in the processes and skills.
