Indra has demonstrated a sound understanding of some characteristics of an introduction to a short story. A description of the setting has been provided and the character has been established. A sound understanding of the context has been demonstrated, but the narrative voice has not been sustained and the vocabulary is simplistic and clichéd. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade C standard at the end of Stage 4.

Grade C

The student has a sound knowledge and understanding of the main areas of content and has achieved an adequate level of competence in the processes and skills.
