Other Work Samples for:

Sam has demonstrated a sound understanding of poetry analysis. Some poetic techniques have been identified and supported by the use of quotations but there is no elaboration or explanation of their effects on meaning. The observations become briefer and more superficial towards the end, resulting in sweeping statements with very little textual support. Sam has not engaged with the poem at the thematic level but the response is adequate in terms of fluency, structure, recognition of audience and syntax. Although this response is incomplete, it demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade C standard at the end of Stage 4.

Grade C

The student has a sound knowledge and understanding of the main areas of content and has achieved an adequate level of competence in the processes and skills.
