Sascha has demonstrated a high level of competence in composing and evaluating a personal reflection. An understanding of the relationship between audience, purpose, language choice and form is apparent in the response. The methodical approach to the discussion of techniques is effective and appropriate vocabulary is used. There is an understanding that writing is an on going process as reference is made to original drafts and how to improve future writing. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade A standard midway through Stage 4.

Grade A

The student has an extensive knowledge and understanding of the content and can readily apply this knowledge. In addition, the student has achieved a very high level of competence in the processes and skills and can apply these skills to new situations.
